This exemplary restoration project was guided by the concept of letting the building tell its secrets by using good restoration techniques.  The multidisciplinary team who worked on the project did in fact follow a meticulously well-researched methodology which included the unearthing of the archaeological remains of a medieval chapel beneath the floor of the sanctuary.  Other works included the restoration of the beautifully painted apse and historic timber door, all carried out to the highest standards.
