An endeavour which honours not only the built, but also its social heritage, this project is exemplary in how forgotten spaces can once again serve a community function.  Through the high-quality design and workmanship deployed, visitors can once again appreciate this beautifully vaulted space which homes a successfully run soup kitchen and community gathering place.  This award highlights the praiseworthy cause that this space within the convent of the Franciscan Minors in Valletta now supports.
