Villa Anna Teresa Retirement Complex, St Julian’s

The creation of this care home on the grounds of “Villa Anna Teresa” was an undeniable opportunity to bring back this important building to a state closer to its former glory.  The outstanding overall quality in the holistic design of the building was noted. The project focused on removing all formal accretions that were blocking this neo-Classical style villa from public view, to return this hidden gem to the public realm.  Contemporary but sensitive architectural grammar characterised the new extension, with excellent contextualisation.
